You can fill your own display bottles directly from this vial.
Why is it only 25USD for 5ml here when the display bottles cost more than that?
Because the shipping cost is much lower than the display bottle and there is no filling process.
So how do I fill my own ferrofluid display bottle?
Here we need to emphasize that non-professionals should not operate it.
If you have a professional environment and specialized skills, scroll down.
Non-professionals can also refer to this, which will help you give up.
How to choose a bottle (container)?
Bottles (containers) are generally available in glass and PET.
Glass
——Pros
Glass bottles have good smoothness and transparency.
When the glass surface is clean enough, it is difficult for liquids, oils, etc. to adhere to it.
Available in many sizes in stock at a low enough cost.
——Cons
Fragile.
Excessively thick.
Poor elongation problem leads to easy swelling and cracking in winter when there is a big temperature difference.
PET
——Pros.
Thin and lightweight
Highly stretchable and less prone to swelling and cracking in warmer environments.
——Cons
Each manufacturer can be different and it can be hard to sift through the bottles that won't stick to the walls.
Doesn't have an abundance of in-stock specifications.
How to choose carrier liquid?
The clear liquid is water:
pure water (filtered water) and distilled water, free of other minerals or impurities.
Or contains so little other matter that it can be ignored.
Sales channels:
Less demanding situations
Convenience stores, supermarkets: purified water for drinking (the label only says water and no other material ingredients.)
Highly demanding situations
Industrial purified water, if you can find a chemical store in your city, I think they should sell it.
Medical equipment stores, pharmacies, water for oxygen production and nebulization.
Cosmetic stores, water for beauty and hydration.
Water for humidifier.
In my country there is a brand of bottled purified water for drinking that is used in many laboratories (wahaha,350ml,560ml), including ours. It works better than professionally distilled and filtered water and is economical and affordable. You can find out if there is a similar one in your local area.
Note that the water mentioned in the above high requirements are all multiply filtered ultra pure water, distilled water, etc.
How to clean the bottle?
use strong alkali water, the ratio of strong alkali and water is 1:10. ——If there are other strong corrosive and at the same time easy to clean materials can also be, rubber water is oily insoluble in water, sulfuric acid is more dangerous. ——Strong alkaline water is actually very dangerous, operation should pay attention to the protection, avoid inhalation, accidental ingestion or a wide range of adherence to the skin as well as the mouth, nose, ears and other parts. (Strong alkalis produce a large amount of mist when added to water, which is very dangerous and avoid inhalation.) ——Non-professionals please do not operate, very dangerous.
Soak the container in strong alkaline water for at least 4 hours. The temperature is high enough to shorten the time.
rinse with tap water when cleaning, do not use brushes, hands and other things to brush, rinse directly. Condition can use high-pressure water gun or ultrasonic.
Rinse once more with tap water to flush out any residue inside. Then rinse it twice with pure water to flush out the tap water inside.
Finish flushing. (If you don't have the specialized environment and expertise, try boiling it in water).
How to fill?
Please see the video
